In this photo, Phil Klopp of Argyle, Minn., guides his 1958 Oliver 770 tractor down the track in the Super 4,000-pound division. Dozens of tractor pullers from the region competed in what's believed to be the 30th annual tractor pull sanctioned by the Northern Tractor Pullers Association.

Klopp and his son, Matthew, who also brought an Oliver tractor to the event, have been competing for the last five years.

Klopp's tractor is mostly stock, although he's done a little work to the injectors and applied custom paint.
