Holy S#!T: Panera Has a Bacon Mac & Cheese Now!
Good news for those who love bacon, mac and cheese, and feeling happy: Panera unveiled a new - wait for it - bacon mac and cheese on their delivery menu today. It'll be available through June 20.
Per a Panera rep, the new sure-to-also-be-iconic order still features their traditional Vermont white cheddar sauce, but is also topped with "thick-cut bacon [that] is 100% clean with no artificial additives or ingredients - raised without antibiotics and gestation-crate free."
The chain is currently testing the dish at a few locations across the country (as opposed to just on their delivery menu there) to see if it'll be a good in-store fit. The rep also explained there's "always" the potential for this offer to be extended (two-and-a-half weeks feels like nothing to order all the bacon mac one's heart desires, no??) should the demand for it be there.
Oh, it also feels important to mention Panera's only offering it in a large size at the moment.
