Holton man accused of stealing tools from Newaygo Co. business

SHERIDAN CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Holton man has been arrested for allegedly stealing several thousand dollars worth of tools from a Newaygo County business.

The Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office says they were called on Saturday to a business on West 80th Street in Sheridan Charter Township for a breaking-and-entering complaint. Investigators were able to identify a suspect and the suspect’s vehicle.

The suspect, a 40-year-old man from Holton, was arrested and lodged at Newaygo County Jail, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect’s name will be made public once he is arraigned and formally charged.

Michigan State Police, the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office and Newaygo County Central Dispatch assisted with the case.
