Hollywood’s Hottest Workout?

ER Doctor and fitness enthusiast Dr. Jedidiah Ballard joins The Doctors to explore the latest celebrity exercise craze, Morph Shred. Urologist Dr. Jennifer Berman volunteers to join him and try it out!

Dr. Berman and Dr. Ballard meet at Studio Metamorphosis. “We are about to get our butts kicked!” Dr. Berman announces. Dr. Ballard describes the workout as “Pilates on steroids.” They’ll do 25 minutes on a treadmill, followed by 25 minutes on a Megaformer, a Pilates-inspired machine. Unlike Pilates, Morph Shred keeps the heart rate up throughout.

The Doctors agree that this workout was challenging! “I have a very well-rounded fitness program,” says Dr. Ballard, “And I could tell last night there were muscles I wasn’t really hitting that much.” The Studio Metamorphosis moves combined lengthening, stretching, and strengthening all at the same time.

Dr. Berman adds that this workout would excel at building lean muscle strength. “I felt like it worked every single muscle in your abdomen, arm, butt, leg.” Dr. Ballard suggests that some of the effects could be duplicated at home, just by slowing down the moves – and he demonstrates for the audience!
