Hollyoaks' Sally St Claire hides a secret over health diagnosis

Hollyoaks is set to air a sad twist in Sally St Claire's health storyline.
In scenes airing next week, the former headteacher has a hospital appointment for her concerning back pains but intends to keep it a secret from her family.
Not having anyone to go with her to her scan, Mercedes McQueen asks Sally to go with her.
At the hospital, Misbah Maalik calls Sally into her office, forcing Sally to lie to Mercedes and telling her they're putting together a book club.

Sally then explains to the doctor that Mercedes needs are greater, with Misbah agreeing to push back her appointment.
After the news she received the day before, Sally wants to make the most of her life and enjoy it.
When Tom Cunningham comes into the Love Boat and starts speaking to Lizzie Chen-Williams and Sally, Lizzie encourages them both to get on dating app and even offers to set up their profiles.
However, Sally doesn't want to waste the day speaking to strangers and decides to spend it with friends, asking Tom to join her.

Later on, John Paul finds Tom and Sally on the sofa together after a heavy night.
Despite both insisting it was an innocent hangout, John Paul shares his worries over Sally's reckless behaviour after her recent hospital stay with her.
At school, Carter Shepherd reminds Sally she's no longer a teacher, prompting her to fight back and tell the new headteacher she wants to be more than just an accountant.
As the conversation gets heated, John Paul overhears and arrives just as Sally collapses.
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
