Hogan, Cannon remain out for the Patriots

The Patriots are preparing for their week 11 match against the Oakland Raiders in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They will be playing their game against the Raiders in Mexico City, Mexico. While the rest of the team is practicing outside New England, right tackle Marcus Cannon (Ankle) and wide receiver Chris Hogan (Shoulder) are rehabbing in Massachusetts.

Neither player has been ruled out yet for Sunday’s game but would be unlikely for them to make it as they also missed last week’s game in Denver. Without Hogan, wide receiver Philip Dorsett should see an expanded role and tackle LaAdrian Waddle should get snaps at right tackle without out Cannon.

In the Pats 41-16 win over Denver, quarterback Tom Brady was only sacked one time by safety Justin Simmons. So Waddle seems to be handling his duties well as Cannon has been out, he took all the offensive snaps during week 10.

Wide receiver Matthew Slater (Hamstring) also did not practice after he was injured in the game against Denver. He returned to New England as well, as the Pats remained in Colorado.

The newly acquired tight end, Martellus Bennett, was limited in practice this week due to a shoulder and hamstring injuries. Bennett was released by Green Bay before week 10 after telling the Packers he needed shoulder surgery. Bennett caught three targets for 38 yards during Sunday’s game.

Other players who were limited in practice: wide receiver Danny Amendola (Knee), defensive lineman Alan Branch (Neck), defensive lineman Malcom Brown (Ankle), defensive end Cassius Marsh (Shoulder), and defensive back Eric Rowe (Groin).

The Raiders are coming off their week 10 bye, but have a few players on their injury report. Cornerback David Amerson (Foot) and offensive tackle Donald Penn (NIR) did not practice on Wednesday.

Raiders players who were limited in practice: guard Game Jackson (Ankle), linebacker Corey James (Knee), offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse (Hip/Quad), and fullback Jamie Olawale (Hamstring).
