Hoda Kotb brings couple to tears as she surprises them with a new baby

Adopting a child is an emotionally draining process, particularly because it takes years before the new parents bring home a child. Hoda Kotb just ended one couple’s long, painful journey for their child by surprising them with the news that they had been matched with a new baby girl. The couple were astounded and tearful when Kotb revealed the incredible news.

The journey to find their new daughter wasn’t easy. As Kotb, who recently became the new mom of an adopted daughter, Haley, pointed out, “Waiting is hard.”

But the couple stuck together, and were reminded by their adoption agency that “It’s not a matter of if you’re going to be parents, it’s just a matter of when.” Now, the moment has come, and the new parents took home their bundle of joy, Addison Emily, making it all worth the wait.
