cMoe's Countdown to Totality
March 5-April 7, cMoe-Koch Family Children's Museum, 22 SE Fifth St. Cost is included in admission.
This is a month-long lineup of science-focused events and celestial experiences that are for all members of the family. These events will feature local storytellers, Evansville's NASA ambassador Mandy Scurry, Mr. Science from "Hooked on Science," themed programming, pop-up activities and more. Comedian Jeff Dunham and his cast of famous characters are stopping in Evansville on the second leg of his "Still Not Canceled" Tour.
SPEAK: An Explorative Lecture Series
7 p.m., Old National Events Plaza, 715 Locust St. Free.
EVPL presents an appearance by best-selling historical fiction author Kate Quinn, who has written four novels in the "Empress of Rome" saga and two books on the Italian Renaissance.
Shadow and Light
Through April 12, Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, 212 Main St.
The Arts Council is hosting a shadow-and-light-themed art exhibit that commemorates the upcoming solar eclipse by featuring shadow and light 2D artwork and media.
Friday
University of Southern Indiana baseball
March 22-24; Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for non-USI students.
Cheer on the USI baseball team as they take on the Tennessee Tech Eagles.
Evansville Thunderbolts hockey
7 p.m., Ford Center, 1 SE Martin Luther King Drive. Tickets range from $16 to $35.
Join the Evansville Thunderbolts for Princess and Pirate Night, where little princesses and pirates are encouraged to dress the part. There will be inflatables, hair tinsel, face painting and the opportunity to win prizes.
Saturday
Making the Most of a Once-in-a-Life Event
11 a.m. to noon, EVPL Central Browning Room, 200 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Free.
NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Mandy Scurry will discuss eclipse science, culture, history and art.
Eclipse show
1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday weekly, Koch Immersive Theater and Planetarium, 411 SE Riverside Drive. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for youth and members.

77th annual West Side Nut Club Easter egg hunt
1 p.m., Mater Dei High School, 1300 Harmony Way. Free.
The big event for preschool, kindergarten, and first- to third-grade students and special education is back. With more than 13,000 plastic eggs distributed, kids can win stuffed animals, candy-filled Easter baskets, and passes to different Evansville attractions. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance with other characters such as Elmo, SpongeBob SquarePants and more.
USI tennis
2 p.m., USI Tennis Courts, 8600 University Blvd. Free.
Cheer on the men's Screaming Eagles team as they take on the Belmont University Bruins.
Dinner on the Bridge
7 p.m., Old National Events Plaza, 715 Locust St., Tickets are $99.
The Wine Series presents a foodie experience with a five-course meal prepared by the Old National Events chefs and a wine selection from Kendall-Jackson, California Coastal Vineyards. There will also be live music amid the Downtown scene from the sky bridge over Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
