Hit-and-run crash injures pedestrian near SF’s Alamo Square

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Police Department is investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near Alamo Square on Wednesday morning. The crash occurred in the area of Steiner and Fulton streets at around 9:43 a.m., police say.

SF police officers who first arrived on scene located a victim with injuries. Paramedics then provided aid and transported the victim to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, SFPD said.

The vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene immediately after the collision, witnesses told officers. Police did not provide a description of the vehicle or the suspect.

The investigation remains ongoing, SFPD said.
