Hillary Clinton responds to President Trump's criticism, suggests he read her children's book

Hillary Clinton clapped back at President Trump's criticism of her new book on Thursday, suggesting he should try her children's book, "It Takes A Village," instead.

"If you didn't like that book, try this one — some good lessons in here about working together to solve problems," Clinton tweeted. "Happy to send a copy."

The former Democratic presidential candidate released her new book on Tuesday and while fans mobbed her book signings, others, including the president, took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.

"Crooked Hillary Clinton blames everybody (and every thing) but herself for her election loss," Trump posted on Wednesday. "She lost the debates and lost her direction!"

Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked during a White House press briefing on Tuesday if Trump had read Clinton's new book:

"I would think that [the president is] pretty well versed on 'What Happened,' and I think it's pretty clear to all of America," Sanders told the press. "I think it's sad that after Hillary Clinton ran one of the most negative campaigns in history and lost, and the last chapter of her public life is now going to be defined by propping up book sales with false and reckless attacks."
