Highway gets a 'Game of Thrones'-inspired makeover

Winter has officially come for Canada. Well, not literally, at least not yet.

Commuters driving on the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near Milton, Ontario were able to drive on Jon Snow Parkway on Friday morning, as a few Game of Thrones fans changed the name of a sign on James Snow Parkway to honor the King of the North.

It's unclear who Game of Thrones'd this sign, or why for that matter.

At a news conference on Friday morning, Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca said that members of the public should not touch or alter the road signage “regardless of how enthusiastic they are for Game of Thrones or any other television show.” The Ontario Provincial Police will be patrolling the area to prevent the incident from happening again.

Sounds like someone is on Team Cersei.

The parkway is originally named after James Snow, a conservative Ontario politician who served as MPP for the area from 1967 to 1985.
