Highway 503 closed, crash leaves 1 dead near Fargher Lake

Jun. 14—One person died and another was transported to a hospital Monday afternoon after a head-on, two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Northeast Lewisville Highway and Northeast Gabriel Road, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Will Finn.

Law enforcement and emergency crews were dispatched to the crash at 1:27 p.m.

State Highway 503 was blocked at Milepost 14.5, according to a tweet from Finn asking people to avoid the area.

Five ambulances responded, according to scanner traffic monitored by The Columbian.
