HIGHLIGHTS: No. 11 Rams drop game four to split series against Chaps

SAN ANGELO, TX— The 11th-ranked Angelo State Rams baseball team suffered a 15-10 defeat in game four against Lubbock Christian, resulting in a series split.

Lubbock Christian took an early lead, starting with a solo home run followed by another run on a groundout. The Chaps continued their momentum, scoring two runs in each of the first three innings to establish a commanding 6-0 lead.

With one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, Jacob Guerrero extended the lead by driving in a couple more runs with a double down the left field line, followed by Tripp Clark singling to score Justin Harris. Despite the threat, LCU managed to escape the inning by turning a double play, maintaining the deficit at just two runs.

Following a run scored in the bottom of the eighth inning, the Rams persisted, rallying to score three more runs in the ninth, with two runs driven in by Justin Harris’s double.

The Rams are back in action next week, hosting Wayland Baptist on Tuesday, March 26th at 3 p.m.
