Highland High's FFA to hold Scotsman Market & Plant Sale

Pick your plants while supporting Highland High School's Scots.

The school's agriculture department will host its Scotsman Market and Plant Sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the school's farm located across from the campus at 2900 Royal Scots Way.

Students who have grown thousands of plants, herbs, fruit trees and vegetables will now sell them at the market. Attendees can also enjoy food vendors, face painting and more.

Proceeds will support the Highland High School Future Farmers of America program and allow students to learn real-world business skills, agricultural regulations and economics, a Kern High School District news release said.
