Herman the cat is totally fine, guys.

The Danish feline, who was adopted by owner Shirley Nordenskiold when he was a kitten, is enchanting the internet with his big eyes and perpetually terrified expression. Seriously, this cat looks super worried. Is there a problem?

No problem at all, Nordenskiold told Mashable. Herman was "born special," she said, but he's perfectly healthy. In fact, he just requires a little extra attention to keep his big eyes clean. "But that is easily done to make sure that he is always healthy and fit," she said.

Herman's interests are those of any other cat: above all, he loves to stare at things and play with shoelaces.

"Forget about fancy and expensive cat toys," Nordenskiold said. "The classic shoe lace is the number one favourite and it can keep him companied for long periods of time."

Herman also loves to sleep, but since his eyes don't always close, it's sometimes hard to tell when he's really snoozing. "You must instead hear his snoring to know that he is actually sleeping," Nordenskiold explained.

Most of all, Herman's human wants his Instagram followers — over 11,000 — to feel the same joy Herman brings them every day.

"In my wildest fantasy, I had never imagined that so many people would start following Herman on Instagram," Nordenskiold said. "I am glad that people are enjoying Herman as much as I do — he is always great in making one smile."
