Here's where you should sell your iPad 2

A new iPad has been announced and now the reseller circuit is up and running. Really, yesterday was your day to sell the iPad 2, but don’t let that discourage you. If you want to snag some cash for your old model to put toward the next iteration, here are your best bets. Word to the wise: act quickly. Prices are going to continue to drop.

eBay Instant Sale

This is probably your best bet for iPad 2 sales. At the moment, the Wi-Fi version can get you up to $356.80, and the AT&T Wi-Fi + 3G model up to $395 (the Verizon Wi-Fi + 3G version is $385). Obviously the 32 and 64 GB models are going to be worth more as they’ve now been put out to pasture.

It’s worth noting that eBay gets points for options and simplicity. After reviewing your offers, you can decide to list it yourself (we saw one AT&T Wi-Fi + 3G 32 GB black model going for $700) or take the Instant Sale offer. If you go with the latter option, you just check out and get your money via PayPal.

Gazelle

Gazelle is an iOS trade-in hotspot and the iPad 2 will be no exception. Still, prices for your gently used second generation iPad aren’t quite as high as eBay’s: a flawless AT&T Wi-Fi + 3G 32 GB iPad 2 will net you $250. They started out at $350 for iPad 2s, but prices are dropping quickly. Still, it’s a reliable option and you can choose to get paid via check, Amazon gift card, or PayPal. Gazelle also sends you a box specifically to ship your iPad 2 in, and shipping is free.

NextWorth

Popular electronics reseller NextWorth is another good site to check out. The site gives you a variety of questions to answer “yes or no” to, and then calculates a price. Right now, a 32 GB Wi-Fi iPad 2 in black in perfect condition gets you $317.10. A 16 GB Wi-Fi only white model goes for $291.89.

You can get paid via PayPal, Target gift card, or a mailed check. You mail your iPad in for free and pocket the cash.

BuyMyTronics

Just to round it all out, be sure to see what prices you find on BuyMyTronics. A 32 GB Wi-Fi + 3G iPad 2 is worth $275, and you can get paid via PayPal or check. It’s a nice clean and simple process so you won’t get lost in Terms of Service or user agreements.

CashYourTech

It’s not quite as eye-pleasing, but CashYourTech is quick and to the point. Type in “iPad 2” and you’ll first see iPhones, but keep scrolling and you’ll see a couple of links for 32 GB iPad 2s. With the original charger, you can get $222 for the Wi-Fi only model.
