The tornadoes that tore through Kentucky Friday night and Saturday morning left many communities unrecognizable.

Mayfield, where a candle manufacturing plant was hit, was one of the hardest hit areas.

The death toll in Kentucky has now exceeded 75, including 12 children, and is expected to keep growing. Gov. Andy Beshear has called it "the deadliest" in the state's history.

The tornadoes hit beyond Kentucky. They ripped through communities in Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri and Illinois, leaving at least 16 dead in those states. Six were killed when an Amazon warehouse collapsed in Illinois.
