Adam Rippon wears harness with his suit at the Oscars — and the internet has feelings

You might be used to seeing Adam Rippon on the ice, wearing a figure-skating costume with some sparkle. But on Sunday, for the 90th Academy Awards, the Olympian who helped Team U.S.A. win bronze showed up wearing a little less glitter and a little more leather.

Just recently returning from a successful Olympics in PyeongChang, the 28-year-old who became a fan favorite was seen hanging out with designer Jeremy Scott, teasing an Oscars look. And as he arrived on the red carpet, Rippon’s Moschino look did not disappoint. Alongside Mirai Nagasu, who wore a beautiful Tadashi Shoji gown, the suit featured a leather harness and some cutouts.

Of course, Twitter immediately lit up with comments from users who just couldn’t handle the look. Many agreed that the ensemble is a “mood.”

In an interview with Access, Nagasu revealed that she also brought her Olympic medal along with her onto the red carpet. The BFF pair is sure to be a fan-favorite couple of the evening.
