Here's how Fond du Lac City Council rated City Manager Joe Moore's performance in 2023

FOND DU LAC — Fond du Lac City Council is not only satisfied with the work City Manager Joe Moore has put into the city, but very pleased.

The council assessed Moore's performance over 2023 in closed session Feb. 28 and shared the results earlier this month, ranking him overall at 4.52 out of 5.

According to a news release from City Attorney Deb Hoffman, the evaluation covered 15 elements of leadership and personal and organizational performance on a scale from 1 to 5, with 1 being "poor" and 5 being "outstanding."

His strengths, according to council, include dependability, fiscal management, community relations, professional attitude and professional conduct. Moore has been working for the city since 2012.

"Joe’s leadership is outstanding, backed by a career of excellence," one council member said, according to the release. "He’s built a top-notch team to run the city smoothly."

In response, Moore credits the employees of the city of Fond du Lac for their commitment to excellence andservice to the community, according to the release.
