It's not exactly a secret that Julianne Hough is in *insane* shape and that she works hard and prioritizes working out to stay that fit. And - in case you didn't know - she's planning a wedding. Personally, I'm not one to endorse wedding diets (in fact, I'm against them!), and it sounds like Hough is, too.

"If I get super hot for my wedding day and I'm not afterwards, and I'm not before, then it's like, 'Who is this person marrying my fiancé?' Or, 'Who's my fiancé marrying?' " She said to People recently. "I don't want to look different than what I look like normally."

But based on some recent interviews, she's been living a life of balance leading up to her big day - and her already regular healthy eating habits are easy enough for anyone trying to eat healthier to get on board with.

1. Healthy Salads

Hough recently Instagrammed this delicious-looking lemon garlic shrimp salad. The recipe is on her website, too, should you want to try it out.

2. Surprise - Carbs!

Though not gorging herself on pizza every day, she's not punishing herself and living a life devoid of pleasure. In fact, she recently disclosed that she has pasta!!

"It's all about moderation, but I realized that carbs are often talked about in a negative context, like, 'Carbs make me fat or bloated,'" she said to Us Weekly. "But I think for me, I have to have some sort of carb, whether it's rice or pasta or bread or whatever it is, and not big amounts, but I do need carbs because it makes my brain click on."

""I'll probably want to enjoy the night before [the wedding], have like beer and a burger, stuff like that," she said to People. "This is my lifestyle, so I have cheat days, but if I have a cheat day, the next day I'm really good."

3. Tons of Protein

When People asked her earlier this year what she eats in a typical day, it was evident that she - like Kim Kardashian - eats a ton of protein. For instance, her breakfast consists of two steamed eggs with avocado and tomato, and her lunch is a boneless, skinless chicken breast over a salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, hearts of palm, almonds, edamame, banana peppers, and olive oil and squeezed lemon. She has salmon and spinach for dinner. So, lots and lots of protein. (Like that shrimp salad!)]

4. All the Snacks

Although the diet she describe for People only had 1,526 calories, Hough doesn't let herself go long without eating. In other words: snacks. She told People that she has a green juice before she works out, a smoothie between breakfast and lunch, an orange mid-day, and dark chocolate-covered almonds for dessert at the end of the day.

5. She Stays Hydrated

It's not exactly rocket science that drinking water = less water weight, and it seems that Hough makes sure she adheres to this rule. She also told People that she drinks 4 to 6 glasses of water every day as well as LaCroix, Seltzer of the People.
