So a group of girls were seen on a subway in Beijing earlier this month with none other than condoms on their face. Confused yet? It seems the “DX Condom Company” in China has reportedly re-marketed its new line of latex condoms with female skincare in mind, claiming that the lubrication is actually good for the skin, according to Rocket News China.

Trending in China added photos to Facebook of the girls, detesting and questioning the real reasons behind the event. While we can only hope that the girls believed they were actually getting something out of this, a deeper look into what some condoms and lubricants typically contain — anything from capsaicin, found in spicy chili peppers, to spermicide or acetate, according to She Knows — makes this concept even weirder. And what’s usually not found in condoms? Moisturizers, anti-aging agents, or anything beauty related.

So here’s a suggestion: Don’t try this at home.
