American Idol has discovered some of the best talent America has to offer (Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, for starters). With Season 21 right around the corner, the show is ready to make more history. After all, American Idol is turning 21, so there's only one way to celebrate, and that's to go big or go home. Here's everything we know about the upcoming season.

When does American Idol Season 21 premiere?

The judges are officially returning to their panel Sunday, February 19 on ABC. The show's Instagram shared a Vegas-themed teaser ahead of the big premiere, and let's just say we're ready to take things from Sin City to Sing City.

After sharing the premiere date news, fans ran to the comment section to share their excitement. "It's going to be an amazing season," said one person. "Ouuuu it’s gonna be a great year," said another. And one person wrote, "HYPED."

Who are American Idol's Season 21 judges?

For the sixth season in a row, singers Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan will be returning to the judges' panel. The trio have been a mainstay for the singing competition show ever since it made its switch from Fox to ABC.

The stakes may be higher than ever, but fans can count on the same shenanigans and "WTF" moments from the three talents.

As for the host? Well, to no one's surprise, that'll be Ryan Seacrest! Serving as MC since the show's first season, he is truly the unofficial foundation of American Idol.

How to watch and stream the new season of American Idol:

You can watch new episodes of the hit singing competition live on the ABC network weekly. The channel also has an online streaming platform that allows fans to enjoy live episodes from any device by signing in with your cable provider.

Even if you've cut the cable cord already, you can still get your weekly dose of American Idol. Other streaming services like Hulu, fuboTV, Sling TV and Youtube TV offer subscribers the option to watch new episodes after they've aired on television.
