Heavy snow season continues in Southern California

Snow continued to fall in Wrightwood Sunday night, bringing recent snowfall totals at Mountain High Resort to about 2 feet.

On Sunday night, 4 inches fell, bringing the three-day total at the resort to between 18 and 24 inches, Mountain High said on its website Monday.

“Coverage is great with a deep 30-42″ base of fresh powder & packed powder and roughly 75% of the mountain has been groomed,” the website says.

Late-week storm promises to bring more rain to Southern California

And there’s potential for even more snowfall, with a 20% chance of snow showers in the late morning and afternoon Monday, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Another storm is expected to come through on Friday, bringing possibly even more winter weather to Wrightwood.
