Suspect surrenders, taken into custody: Brunswick police

BRUNSWICK, Ohio (WJW) – A suspect has surrendered after an active police situation that lasted for hours in Brunswick on Monday.

According to the Brunswick Division of Police, there was a heavy police presence in the 4200 block of Manhattan Circle.

Residents who live in apartments and homes in the area were asked to stay indoors and shelter in place. Anyone who wasn’t home was asked to stay away from the area during the incident.

In an update Monday night, the police department said the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody.
