‘The Heart Guy’: Watch the Trailer for Acorn TV’s Aussie Import

In Australia it’s known as Doctor Doctor, but when Season 1 of the hit medical dramedy hits Acorn TV June 5, it’ll be under the new title The Heart Guy.

As you see in the exclusive trailer debut above, it stars Rodger Corser as party-boy heart surgeon Hugh Knight, who’s forced to put down his scalpel and return to his sleepy hometown Wyhope — where he’s not exactly welcome. “Your father often refers to you as a selfish, conceited pr**k, but he’s a passionate man,” Hugh’s mother tells him.

Expect a love triangle, as Hugh’s ex-girlfriend Charlie (Nicole da Silva) is now married to his brother, Matt (Ryan Johnson)…

And also a goat.

The Heart Guy premieres June 5 on Acorn TV. Two new episodes will be released every Monday through July 3.
