Healthy Kingsport hosts Lunch ‘n Learn to bring awareness to child abuse

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Healthy Kingsport held a Lunch ‘n Learn event on Tuesday to bring awareness to child abuse prevention during April.

At the event, Pam Johnson with the Child Advocacy Center spoke about child abuse signs and resources to report child abuse if witnessed.

“These folks do so much for our community and sometimes they don’t get recognized like they should,” Healthy Kingsport Director Desteny Clemons said. “They do the hard parts. And so we want to be able to be an advocate for them to get the donations that they need in order to be successful in our community.”
