Octavia Spencer looked sensational at the Oscars in a one-shoulder Tadashi Shoji gown.
"As a woman who loves shoes, who loves purses, who love clothes, this is wonderful. Forget about the job, give me the clothes," the actress joked with Healthy Hollywood.
Healthy Hollywood chatted with the 2012 Oscar winner in New York City right before she left for LA to present last night's Best Supporting Actor award. "A year ago today, I was just happy to be nominated and now, I can't believe that I am passing the baton on to the next best supporting actress."
The past 12 months have been incredible for Octavia. Besides having a number of films lined up, she also got on a health kick.
"I'm feeling a whole lot healthier. I just joined the 40s club and I know that I want to live at least another 50 years. So, the best way to do that is take care of your health" adds Octavia.
Over the last four months, the star of "The Help" shed 20 pounds, thanks to the weight loss system Sensa. She is the company's newest celebrity ambassador. "What I love about Sensa is that it integrated very easily into my life. You sprinkle it on the food that you normally eat and what it does is signal your brain that you're satisfied."
Octavia, who has struggled with her weight for years, says the best part about this weight loss system is that it doesn't feel a diet.
"They just don't work for me. So, I decided I was never going to do them ever again. Sensa has helped me to make better food decisions. Once you start seeing the weight come off, you want to eat healthier. You want to be better. But, I can eat whatever I want and that empowers me."
