Headless body found floating in Jamaica Bay in Queens: sources

A man’s headless body was found floating in Jamaica Bay on Friday night, according to police sources.

The FDNY rushed to the shoreline near the Joseph P. Addabbo Memorial Bridge in Queens shortly before 9 p.m. after receiving a 911 call for a water rescue, the NYPD said.

Firefighters pulled the body from the water and discovered he had been decapitated, sources told The Post.

A heavy police presence, including officers from the US Park Police, was seen combing the shore for clues.

The identity or age of the dead man was not immediately known.

The investigation is ongoing.
