Head-on crash near GJT

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — A police investigation is underway after cars collided head-on near the Grand Junction Regional Airport on Friday.

Grand Junction Police officers and firefighters responded to a two-car crash in the area of 27 1/4 Road in the desert north of GJT at around 7:53 p.m. on Friday. Firefighters took two people to the hospital. At least one person suffered serious injuries during the crash.

This is an active police investigation with no further information available at this time.
