At the same time, a 30-year-old Babson Park man driving a Dodge Ram was traveling south in the southbound lanes.

Despite the driver of the Dodge Ram trying to avoid colliding with the wrong-way driver near Varn Road, the two vehicles crashed nearly head-on.

The wrong-way driver died at the scene of the crash. FHP said it is unknown why the man was traveling in the wrong lanes.

The driver of the Dodge Ram had non-life-threatening injuries.
