Head-on collision claims life of 18-year-old in Callahan County
CALLAHAN COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A fatal crash occurred Sunday morning in Callahan County.
At 4:09 a.m. on March 10, emergency crews were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on I-20 four miles east of Abilene. According to a preliminary investigation, a Dodge Ram was traveling east in the westbound lanes of I-20. A Ford traveling west on I-20 was then struck by the Dodge head-on in the westbound lane.
The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead on the scene and has been identified as 18-year-old Aspen Blessing of Baird.
The driver of the Dodge was transported to a nearby hospital for serious incapacitating injuries.
