Hawaiian waives change fee for travellers whose plans are soaked by Superstorm
HONOLULU, Hawaii - Hawaiian Airlines says it won't charge fees for travellers whose plans have been swept into chaos by the Superstorm bearing down on a third of the U.S. to change their flights.
The company says it also won't charge the difference in fares for customers who want to change their tickets from travelling between now and Oct. 31 between the East Coast and Hawaii. The changes need to be made by Nov. 1.
Hurricane Sandy barrelled through the Caribbean to meet with two other powerful winter storms to become a rare hybrid storm.
It's expected to hit the southern New Jersey coastline by late Monday or early Tuesday.
