Hawaii LB coach suffered elbow and wrist injuries celebrating with player

Hawaii linebackers coach Sean Duggan suffered two major injuries in an awkward fall after celebrating with lineman Viane Moala during the Warriors’ Week 1 win over Western Carolina.

Per Hawaii News Now, Duggan dislocated his elbow and fractured his wrist. He went to jump and bump with Moala, and, well, Moala got the best of him. Here’s what happened. The power Moala put into this is quite impressive.

This did not turn out well.

Duggan is expected to be with the team for Saturday’s game at UCLA. Hawaii coach Nick Rolovich said Duggan will be in a sling “for a while.”

“He’ll never forget it. He’s a young coach, but I know I’ll never let him forget it,” Rolovich said.

Duggan probably won’t need Rolovich’s help in remembering it.
