Hats off: 2 Kern County men graduate from CHP academy

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two Kern County men recently graduated from the California Highway Patrol Academy.

Jesus Aceves Jr. of Wasco and Isaac Ayon of Delano successfully completed cadet training.

Aceves graduated from Wasco High School and received a master’s degree in criminal justice from Cal State Bakersfield. He was a youth service officer for the Kern County Probation Department in Bakersfield.

1,500 BCSD band students play in 17th annual Standards Festival

Ayon graduated from Cesar E. Chavez High School and served four years in the United States Marine Corps.

Both Aceves Jr. and Ayon were assigned to the West Valley Area Office in Southern California.
