Hartsville police look for suspect after car stolen at gunpoint

HARTSVILLE, S.C. (WBTW) — Hartsville police are looking for a vehicle that was stolen Thursday evening from a person at gunpoint at the Hartsville Crossing apartments on Driver Avenue near the Walmart store.

Police said a man with a gun “forcefully seized keys from the victim’s hand” and fled in their dark gray 2011 Toyota Camry with license plate number TIH 983. The victim was not injured.

Police released surveillance photos of the car but noted that it currently has chrome/silver-colored hub caps. Anyone with information is asked to call local law enforcement at 843-383-3011.
