Hart High School principal dies unexpectedly, superintendent says

HART, Mich. (WOOD) — The principal of Hart High School died unexpectedly, the superintendent said.

Troy Moran had “an infection laugh and smile” and worked in multiple districts, Superintendent Mark Platt wrote in a Sunday morning social media post.

It is not clear exactly how or when Moran died.

Hart High School will hold classes Monday and counseling will be available for both staff and students, according to Platt’s post.

The Hart Public Schools Drama Clubs social media page posted that its final performance of “Clue: On Stage (High School Edition)” would be dedicated “in loving memory of Mr. Troy Moran, our beloved principal.”

A porch light vigil was held by the high school in memory of Moran Sunday night.
