Harry Styles sends fans into a tizzy with new 'bisexual anthem'

The lyrics to Harry Styles' newest song are sending fans into a tizzy on Twitter, as they seemingly confirm his long-rumored bisexuality.

While performing on the current European leg of his first solo tour, Styles debuted two new songs -- "Anna" and "Medicine" -- but it's the latter tune that's garnering all of the attention.

"Two years ago I started making my very first album on my own, and you've been incredible through that whole process," Styles said before performing the song on Tuesday. "I want to thank you for your support. We wrote a lot of songs for the album, and we chose ten, and we've never played this one before."

Though it's hard to clearly make out the exact lyrics in the fan-recorded video of his performance, it appears as though the lyrics to "Medicine" go, "The boys and the girls are here, I mess around with them/ And I'm okay with it. I'm coming down/ I figured out I kinda like it, and when I sleep I'm gonna dream of how you tasted."

"This is the new bi anthem," original poster @emptyskv wrote on Twitter. "Thank you, Harry Styles."

Styles has become somewhat of an iconic symbol in recent years in the LGBTQ community, garnering praise for speaking out about gay rights and flying rainbow flags at his concerts.

"That doesn't feel like politics to me," Styles said last year when asked about his willingness to speak out on gay rights. "I think stuff like equality feels much more fundamental. I feel like everyone is equal. That doesn't feel like politics to me."

In an interview with The Sun from May of 2017, Styles fueled rumors of his fluid sexuality when asked whether he leans one way or another.

"I’ve never felt the need to really [define my sexuality]," he said. "I don’t feel like it’s something I’ve ever felt like I have to explain about myself."

When the footage of Styles' performance of "Medicine" started to make the rounds on Twitter on Wednesday, many took to social media to praise Styles for the song's incredibly honest lyrics.

"Medicine is a bisexual anthem and we really out here loving a queer man," one user wrote.

"MEDICINE BY HARRY STYLES IS BISEXUAL," someone else tweeted. "I LOVE HARRY STYLES I WILL ALWAYS DO."
