Well, isn’t that romantic. In a very special holiday edition of Carpool Karaoke, Harry Styles and James Corden kissed after singing a beautiful Christmas duet. And yes — they really went for it.

Corden’s video was a holiday mash-up that featured the celebrities we’ve seen belt out tunes from the passenger seat this year, from Ed Sheeran to Kelly Clarkson. It looks like while they were filming their individual episodes, they shot some additional footage of the stars singing “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” It’s the holiday gift that keeps giving, and a surefire way to put you in the holiday spirit.

The very end of the video, titled “Christmas Carpool,” features the kiss, which proves that Styles — who appeared on the show this May — has more chemistry with Corden than we originally thought. That, or he was just overjoyed with emotion since his debut solo album dropped that same month. Perhaps both. As he was a bit romantic in his own episode, maybe it’s just what Styles is all about.

This isn’t the first time that Corden has celebrated the holidays with a Carpool Karaoke mashup. Last year, he released a version of him singing “All I Want For Christmas” with a few notable stars, like Lady Gaga, Adele, and Mariah Carey herself. But last year only ended with a few high-fives and a head kiss from Elton John. Which, don’t get us wrong, is still cool — but not as good as locking lips with Harry Styles.

We’re not sure if it was scripted or not. But someone already made a gif of the big moment.

Corden’s Christmas segments are a great way to wrap up the year. Sometimes it’s hard to remember all of the fabulous stars he’s featured, like his much-anticipated segment with Bruno Mars, or his electric performance with Katy Perry. We know that 2018 will bring even more talent.
