Harry Styles Hijacks Hosting Duties on ‘The Late Late Show’

Harry Styles is spending the week hanging out with James Corden on The Late Late Show. On Tuesday, Harry did his best impression of his late night buddy when he came out as “James” to host the show.

The show started, as it always does, with some political monologue jokes. The One Direction star said, “Hillary Clinton is forming a group called Onward Together, a political organization that is anti-Trump. Experts are calling it bold, ambitious, and six months too late.”

Harry then headed over to the desk as he continued on with the show. He checked in with the night’s guests, Ice Cube, Jason Derulo, and “Harry Styles,” who was actually James Corden doing his best impression of his British buddy. When the fill-in host asked the fake pop star what he’s been doing, James said, “I’ve just been working on my pain, making my searing pop album. That’s all I have been doing, just painfully writing songs … in Jamaica.”

Harry’s “Side Effects”

Harry ended his time filling in for James with the regular Late Late Show bit, “Side Effects May Include…,” which included a little self-promotion. He said, “The final side effects of going solo is getting to take up the entire album cover with a picture of just you in a bubble bath, which is something you’ve been trying to pitch unsuccessfully to the band for years.” He then held up his new album, which, obviously, was him in a bubble bath.

The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.
