If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you have definitely not missed the news that Hogwarts is back in a new play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, featuring Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley and their son, Albus. But, for all of us in the U.S., London seemed awfully far away for fans who wanted to see the continuing story of The Boy Who Lived. Well, now you can get pumped, because Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is coming to Broadway.

Get your wands and broomsticks ready!

The show is a two-part play that launches on West End July 30th, 2016. It’s written by Jack Thorne, based on a short story by J.K. Rowling. The story is set nineteen years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Harry and Ginny are married, and they’re sending their son Albus off to Hogwarts.

Check out the cast of the London production here!

The show has already gotten HUGE buzz in London (obvi), and now Broadway is starting to buzz about it too! According to the New York Post, sources suggest that heavy-hitting theater producers Sonia Friedman (King Charles III, The River) and Colin Callender (Lucky Guy, Dear Evan Hansen) are rumored to have made a deal for the Shubert Theatre in New York City, which could open the show as early as 2017.

Needless to say, we are freakin’ excited. And if you can’t wait until next Broadway season, there’s a book version of Cursed Child coming out, July 30th. This crazy mob is already getting the party started in NYC:

Luckily, Broadway has grown used to a fan frenzy with hit Hamilton selling out tickets nearly a year in advance. By the time some of the Hamilton fandom dies down (if it ever happens), Broadway will be ready and waiting to give us another show to geek out over!

Would it be more or less of a craze than Hamilton? According to the New York Post, the London show has already sold $32 million in tix, so it sounds like it could do pretty well to match the rapping founding father!

We literally cannot wait. Although, that gives us a year, so we can all learn how to Aparate to Broadway!
