Harrison Ford might be the biggest celebrity hanging out in Wichita, but he’s not the only one.

On Thursday night, actor and comedian Pauly Shore — who earned fame as an MTV personality in the early 1990s and starred in the movie “Encino Man” — stopped for dinner at FioRito Ristorante, 3134 E. Douglas.

Shore is scheduled to perform his stand-up show at the Crown Uptown Theatre, which is across the street from FioRito, on Friday and Saturday nights. Chef Jordan Rickard, who owns the restaurant with his brother, Jason Rickard, posed for a photo with Shore before he left.

But it was a memorable evening, Jordan said. Shore ordered braised brisket and mushroom ravioli with beet caramel for dinner and was friendly with the staff and other customers. He even made a video with a table celebrating a birthday.

Shore also posed for a photo with Jordan and the staff before he left.

“He has such a distinctive laugh and voice that everyone in the restaurant would perk up every time we heard him,” Jordan said.

Both of Shore’s stand up shows at The Crown are sold out.
