Harrisburg attempted homicide suspect taken into custody by State Police

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A suspect wanted in a Harrisburg attempted homicide was taken into custody by State Police.

According to a news release, Troopers performed a traffic stop on Anthony Henderson, 31, of Harrisburg, who was driving a 2018 Subaru Outback on Sunday just after 11:30 p.m.

Following the stop, Henderson ran from the vehicle and led State Police on a lengthy foot chase. State Police say Henderson tried to conceal himself somewhere, but they were able to take him into custody with the help of Harrisburg City Police

According to the release, it was discovered that Henderson had multiple active arrest warrants by Harrisburg City Police, including one for an attempted homicide incident. State Police say they are still investigating.

Breaking News

For trying to flee from police, Henderson faces felony charges of flight to avoid apprehension/trial/punishments and escape, online court documents show. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of evading arrest or detention on foot along with two other summary counts.

Henderson is locked up in Dauphin County Prison with bail denied. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 7
