Just Back From...Cape Town, South Africa.

Trip Duration: 7 days. You wouldn't want to fly that far for anything less.

Flight Plan: We flew business class on Delta the entire way. We flew from New York to Johannesburg with a stopover in Atlanta, and then Johannesburg to Cape Town on South African Airways.

Brendan: We both travel in all black usually; clean and classy. Usually light workout-style pants, a t-shirt and sweatshirt or hoodie. We each carry on a rolling Rimowa 14L and place our other carry-on on top–a backpack for me and a Givenchy purse for Hannah that I bought her last year.

Hannah is in charge of snacks so we don't get stuck eating only what's on the plane as it's not always super healthy. We move quickly through the airports and when we are flying business, we make good use of the lounges. One of our favorite things to do is rating lounges around the world–Delta has international wifi, who knew!?–and what makes it even better is that international data in over 100 countries is free for T-Mobile users, which is great for us. When traveling, we'll never have to ask for WiFi passwords at restaurants again. Hannah can also be seen doing a face mask on flights, while I've been bringing a lacrosse ball to roll out my back on any crew cabin wall mid flight.

Hannah: It's so dry on planes and when you are flying for 30 hours, facial mists and moisturizers are an absolute must! Right after they give you a hot towel, I spray my hands with Dr. Bronner's Lavendar Organic Hand Sanitizer (which doubles as a little under arm refresher when arriving at your destination). Then, I spray both my face and Brendan's with Sircuit Skin Cosmeceuticals 'molecular mist'. As you let that settle in for a second, I then dab on my under-eye cream by Fresh and make my oil mixture, which consists of Pratima Pritti oil, Consonant Hydrextreme and Vintner's Daughter oil. Once that has soaked into my skin I apply moisturizer. I love 37 Actives extra rich moisturizer by my dermatologist Dr. Macrene. For the rest of the flight, if I feel like I'm getting dry again, I respray my facial mist and apply Elizabeth Arden's 8-hour cream to certain dry spots. I'm basically a walking pharmacy.

Tour Group: This trip, we traveled with our friends Christian Lawless and Gabby Stoudemaire; it was our first trip with them and definitely not the last. We also met up frequently with two of our best friends Drew and Tory Fulton. They happened to be rounding out their honeymoon in Cape Town after a Safari and are motivating us for our next trip.

Where We Stayed: We stayed at a friends house in Clifton just north of the Clifton 1st beach. The beach we were on only appears two months a year when the tide is out during the summer months, so it's a private little beach without a name. The apartment is amazing with a pool that overlooks the ocean only steps away.

Best Thing We Ate: The Octopus Carpaccio at Villa 47 was so crazy we needed to order a second plate. That was tied with the squid ink pasta we had at True Italic on Lower Bree–it was insane as well.

Best Hang Out Spot: The Biscuit Mill Market on Saturdays is pretty unbelievable and we hung out there for most of the day grazing the food stands and checking out all the little shops. But for a more permanent hang out, Clifton 1st beach or afternoon cocktails at La Perla are pretty great options.

Best Daytime Activity: We loved the hike up Lions Head. We woke up at 5:15a.m. and headed up there to catch an epic sunrise. It is definitely worth getting up there early before the crowds to get the best, non-touristy (if early) view of the city. Also, heading out to the vineyards is a great day trip; driving south around the whole cape and ending up with a flight of wine in front of you isn't the worst way to spend a day.

Best Night Out: We didn't really go out out except on New Years Eve, where we went to a house party that was exceptional.

Could not Leave Home Without: Hannah: My Rochas sandals, my new bikini from Hunza G and my vintage Armani tan linen pants. Beauty-wise, my By Terry powder with hyaluronic acid and Dr. Sturm sun drops are musts.

Most Inspiring Aspect: Meeting a friend of Brendan's who he hadn't seen in 15 years. He has now started a Private Equity firm that supports black business owners in South Africa.

We wish we had...gone on a day safari, which isn't too far out of the city. Also, we wish we went and saw the penguins, Graft vineyard, and the spot where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet. We wish we had gone to a township and partied a little harder...but we are definitely going back to do all of the above!

Why Cape Town? At first we were thrown off because how long it takes to get there, but now we see that as a bonus. If you're willing to muscle through the flight, not only does your dollar go an especially long way, but it's also one of the most beautiful places in the world we've been with some of the nicest people we've encountered traveling.
