WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Crowds of people took to the National Mall on Saturday to protest the Trump administration, Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

The “Hands Off” rally in D.C. was one of hundreds taking place across the country.

In a sea of black and white signs reading “Hands Off!” were also signs protesting the administration’s abolition of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs and mass cuts to the federal workforce.

The rally comes as the District is pushing the House to pass the DC Local Funds Act, a funding fix to address a Congressional spending plan that cut D.C.’s budget by $1 billion mid-fiscal year.
