As if we weren't already counting down the days until The Hallmark Channel starts airing Christmas movies, the network announced plans today to extend their Christmas season with even more original offerings.
The network revealed to Entertainment Weekly they've added two more new movies to their 2018 "Countdown to Christmas" programming on the Hallmark and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channels, which brings the total movie count to a record 36.
Earlier this year, Hallmark announced they would break their previous record and air 34 holiday movies in 2018, starting in October. Now they've increased their quota, and plan to begin the television event on the Hallmark Channel on October 27 and on the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries network on November 4.
The network has already revealed several details about their holiday lineup including several of the movie stars, plots, and filming locations. Viewers can look forward to the return of several fan favorites including Candace Cameron Bure, Lacey Chabert, Danica McKellar, and Kellie Martin, along with the cast of When Calls the Heart who will be featured in a new holiday movie. Sisters Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Ashley Williams will both be back, too.
Fans can also get excited about a few new faces set to join the Hallmark Channel family, including singers LeAnn Rimes and Kellie Pickler. Both actresses will make their network debuts by starring in their very own music-filled movies.
With more movies than days in December, it looks like Christmas will be even more merry this year!
