Hair With Flare to host grand opening event on Saturday: See who will be there
Hair With Flare in Danielson will hold a grand opening on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate its new ownership.
Located at 130 Wauregan Road in Danielson, Hair With Flare's grand opening will feature all of the salon’s products for 10% off, as well as raffle baskets. Each ticket is available for $5 or three tickets are available for $10.
The raffle winners will be announced at 3 p.m. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Connecticut Humane Society and the Danielson Veterans Coffeehouse. Guests do not have to be in attendance when the raffle winners are announced. Representatives from radio station WINY and the Killingly Business Association are expected to be in attendance.
Meet the new owner, Ken Haggerty
Ken Haggerty bought Hair With Flare on April 1, 2024.
“I wanted to have something that would make people happy,” Haggerty said in regards to why he bought the business.
Haggerty is new to the hair salon industry, however his daughter Shayla Haggerty has been a hair stylist for about five years. She serves as the manager at Hair With Flare. Ken Haggerty has worked as an electrical contractor for 40 years.
Long term, Haggerty said he would like to open several new salon locations.
“I hope to have another two or three more salons by the time I turn 65 and make it a chain and make everyone happy,” he said. “I want to go down to Norwich and maybe Mystic or Waterford.”
Since he purchased Hair With Flare, Haggerty has updated the salon’s lighting, bought new supplies and placed a brand new front desk in the salon.
