Hagerstown man arrested for string of armed carjacking’s across the DMV

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Department of Justice U.S. Attorney’s Office said a man was arrested in connection to a string of armed carjacking’s and an attempted carjacking.

Officials said they arrested 22-year-old Carlos Guardado-Eagle, of Hagerstown, on March 5.

Guardado-Eagle faces up to 10 years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

According to his guilty plea, between May 15, 2022 and June 1, 2022, Guardado-Eagle and a co-conspirator carjacked four people at gunpoint.

On June 6, Guardado-Eagle and his co-conspirator tried to do their fifth carjacking, but the person would not give up the keys to their car and Guardado-Eagle and the co-conspirator then left the scene.

During the incidents, Guardado-Eagle and the co-conspirator would wear masks to cover their faces.

On May 15, 2022, Guardado-Eagle and his co-conspirator rear-ended a BMW in District Heights and when the driver got out of the car to inspect the damage, Guardado-Eagle and the co-conspirator got out of the car, pointed a gun at the victim and demanded the victim’s keys.

On May 19, 2022, Gardado-Eagle and his co-conspirator conducted an armed carjacking from a victim in Severn.

On May 26, 2022, they committed another armed carjacking in Silver Spring.

On June 1, 2022, Guardado-Eagle and his co-conspirator committed an armed carjacking in Tysons Corner, Va.

On June 6, 2022, Guardado-Eagle and his co-conspirator attempted an armed carjacking in a parking garage in Baltimore.

The investigation led to Guardado-Eagle’s arrest later in June, 2022.
