Habitat for Humanity Lakeside appoints new executive director, a familiar nonprofit leader

SHEBOYGAN – Habitat for Humanity Lakeside has appointed a new executive director.

Daryl Mangeri, who has previous nonprofit experience working with the Family Services Association for the past five years and The Salvation Army for 15 years, will assume the role May 28.

“I have been in awe of the mission of Habitat for Humanity Lakeside for many years," Mangeri said in a news release. "I am excited about joining this amazing team to play a role in helping put God’s love into action."

He succeeds Niki Zohrab, who held the role for about two-and-a-half years.

“We are thrilled to welcome Daryl to Habitat for Humanity Lakeside,” said Andres Araujo, Habitat Lakeside’s Board of Directors president. “He has a proven track record of positively impacting our community, and we are confident that he will provide strong leadership as we continue our mission of building homes, community and hope throughout Sheboygan County.”

The local Habitat affiliate celebrated 30 years and completed its 50th home in the Home Buyer program last year.
