H&M is opening its first store in Sacramento. Here’s where — and what else is coming

Popular fast-fashion retailer H&M is opening its first store in Sacramento.

H&M plans to open its newest location at Arden Fair mall by the end of the year.

The shop will occupy the former locations of Lane Bryant, New York & Co. and Loft, a space totaling 18,196 square feet, according to Nathan Spradlin, marketing director at Arden Fair.

“This exciting addition reflects our commitment to provide shoppers with an unparalleled retail experience, showcasing the latest trends and styles from around the world,” Spradlin wrote Friday in an email to The Sacramento Bee.

H&M, a Sweden-based clothing company, specializes in apparel for women, men and children at affordable price points. It also sells accessories, home decor and beauty products.

Jewelry store, fast food chains to expand at Arden Fair mall

Arden Fair mall has more than 150 retailers and eateries.

The shopping center at 1689 Arden Way in Arden Arcade is making a number of changes this year, including new tenants, Spradlin said.

In February, Sports Fever, a licensed sporting apparel store, moved to a larger space next to Express, he said.

Jewelry store S&L Gem Co is “set to open midyear in the former location of Orogold Cosmetics, Spradlin said.

Arden Fair is also expanding the food choices that it offers shoppers.

Hype Boyz Tri-Tip sandwich shop opened its doors in mid-January, Spradlin said.

Sbarro, an Italian fast food chain, is remodeling its Arden Fair location with plans to complete that work in the middle of the year.

Another fast food chain, Wetzel’s Pretzels, is relocating to a larger space next to Jamba Juice and is set to open by April, Spradlin said.

Where are H&M store locations in Sacramento area?

When it’s complete, H&M’s Arden Fair store will be the third location the retailer has opened in the Sacramento area.

Here are two H&M locations where you can shop before the Arden Fair store opens its doors: 410 Palladio Parkway in Folsom and 1151 Galleria Blvd. in Roseville.
