GWPD officer on administrative leave following abuse allegations

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (KREX) — Glenwood Springs Police officer Sean Michael Tatro has been placed on administrative leave following allegations of physical and sexual abuse.

Tatro served as a school resource officer for Glenwood Springs High School.

Tatro faces a total of nine charges stemming from these alleged incidents. Charges include the following.

  • Menacing

  • Contributing to the delinquency of a minor

  • Sex assault

  • Assault in the form of strangulation

  • Use of stun guns

  • Harassment in the form of strikes, shoves, and kicks

  • Assault in the third degree

  • Reckless endangerment

  • Domestic violence in an intimate relationship
